So good to be back at the Log Cabin Ranch for a Wedding again to photograph and video this unquie celebration. Sarah and Liam’s emotional vows to each other will bring a tear to your eyes. Their wedding weekend took place on the first weekend of spring and in true Monbulk style, it rained. But this didn’t dampen any of the excitement or fun for the couple or guests.
Everyone that attended their celebrations that weekend are considered family to this beautiful warm-hearted couple. When we first met this special couple we knew to document their wedding was going to be unique. They were planning their wedding before Liam had popped the question. Liam finally proposed a few months later, surprising Sarah at her graduation by dropping down on one knee.

What did you love about your wedding venue?
It was a cozy, secluded rustic venue with unique charms like the different spaces. The stables and the barn were very pretty and dignified and were set up like a blank slate so you could add your personal touch. The rustic styling intrinsic to venue was pretty but didn’t detract from our additions, in fact, it added to the fairytale feeling.
What advice do you have for future couples on planning their wedding day?
Have a concept of what you want, and let your means of executing it dictate how and with whom you go about it, so that when you plan you can work out what fairs and venues to visit. Check out the little country fairs, as someone who has been to the larger and smaller ones, we found the smaller ones to be more personalised and intimate.
If you could do it all over again, would you change anything?
Nope, it was everything we wanted and more. My sketches for the barn and stables came together so beautifully, and the weekend was truly magical.
