After many years of photographing elopements and small and micro weddings in Melbourne and surrounding locations, we have witnessed so many happy moments at these small events. We have put this guide on eloping to help you plan a fuss-free fun elopement in the city, we call our home. Melbourne is hands down one of Australia’s Top Elopement Destinations. And it's very easy to see why

End your elopement on a high and go out for a meal at a fancy restaurant.
Choose an amazing location that represents you two as a couple. Think outside the box!
You’ll need to lodge a notice of intended marriage at least 30 days before your elopement date. your officiant will do this for you.
Consider adding video to your elopement
package. Its great way to share your day with everyone who wasn't their.

07
You’ll need two witnesses, we're always happy to sign the paperwork for you if you are having no guests.

Eloping gives you the ultimate permission to throw-a-way outdated traditions

08
Do bring a bottle of champagne or bio-degradable confetti for the end of the ceremony.

Melbourne Elopement Videography
Elopement videos help you to not only see how your day unfolded but to really feel the emotional memories for years to come. Photographs are fantastic, yes and you can’t hang a video on the wall like you can a framed print. But there is really something very raw and honest about being able to hear the vows you have spoken to each other along with the beautiful motion of the wind in your hair as you take your first steps as a married couple. We believe a combination of photos and film is the best form of wedding storytelling you’ll ever find.
