Have you ever dreamt of a wedding bathed in the idyllic charm of a historic homestead? Well, Olga and Aaron’s Eynesbury Homestead wedding was exactly that, and even more! As their photographer, I’m still enchanted by the day’s magic, and the lingering scent of lavender that seems to cling to my memory.
Every wedding is unique, a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and heartfelt moments. But Olga and Aaron’s celebration held a special place in my heart. Witnessing their love story unfold felt like being part of something extraordinary, a privilege I never take for granted.
The day began with a touch of drama, with storm clouds threatening to mar the celebration. Thankfully, they parted ways, revealing a canvas of clear blue sky – a perfect backdrop for the love story about to unfold.
Olga and Aaron opted to get ready at Tabcorp Park in Melton, its proximity allowing for a relaxed timeline and a record number of getting-ready photos bathed in the gorgeous light streaming through expansive windows.
Distance couldn’t dampen the warmth of family. Although Olga’s mother couldn’t be physically present (being all the way in Belarus!), she played a significant role through the magic of technology. A beautiful, delicate shawl she crafted for Olga added a touch of elegance to the bride’s stunning lace gown, perfectly complementing the old-world charm of Eynesbury Homestead.
The ceremony itself was a beautiful display of intimacy, with only 20 of the couple’s closest friends and family gathered to witness their love. A particularly emotional highlight was Anne, Aaron’s mother, walking Olga down the aisle – a moment that almost left me reaching for tissues (gotta keep those photos in focus!).
Adding a touch of wanderlust, the couple’s unique wedding cake featured flags from both Australia and Belarus, a sweet nod to their shared love for travel. But perhaps the most heartwarming moments were those captured on the dance floor, where the newlyweds swayed the night away, lost in their own world of love and happiness.
