Kelly and James meet through a dating site. They had an epic first date that lasted for 12 hours and they have been inseparable ever since.

The amount of creative energy and personal touches put into this DIY wedding was truly thing of beauty. We arrived while the bridesmaids were putting the finishing touches on their wedding flowers. Kelly and her girls had a very busy night arranging the red rose and baby’s breath combination of fresh blooms. Kelly got ready at a friend’s place, she told me that it was like a wedding bomb had exploded in the couple’s home. She wore a dress she purchased on eBay and she had altered to fit her perfectly with spare pearls taken and put on her veil to complete the look. She had a close friend style her hair and makeup was done by Tracey of Give Me Glam!

James and co had a full-on morning setting up for the wedding celebration. Which was a tough gig in the heat of the day. The preparations were a real family affair with the groomsmen and relatives playing a major role making everything perfect.

The guests we’re entertained with a giant Jenga game, croquet and feeding the horses carrots. The Band Geronimo rocked the night away.

Kelly & James, thank you for choosing us to capture your day, we will treasure this experience always. We can’t wait to show you the rest of your images shortly.

  1. What a pleasure to see our beautiful daughter Kelly marry James. The ceremony and reception were fun and relaxing, which made for a truely wonderful day. Lots of love to them both for a fun and happy future, Mum and Andrew.
