Forest Glade Gardens Proposal

A Forest Glade Gardens Proposal

A week ago, I had the absolute joy of photographing Christian’s surprise Forest Glade Gardens proposal to his girlfriend, Jane — and what a day it was.

Christian reached out to me with a plan: he wanted to pop the question in the Mount Macedon ranges, right in the middle of autumn. If you’ve ever been to Forest Glade Gardens, you’ll know it’s pure magic this time of year. The trees turn every shade of gold, amber, and crimson, and the air has that crisp, just-right kind of chill. It’s hands-down one of the most romantic spots in Victoria — especially when you’re planning a proposal.

When the big day arrived, the garden was putting on a full show. The light filtered through the fiery leaves, and the whole place felt like something out of a dream. Jane had no idea what was coming. She was a little shy at first about having her photo taken — which I totally get! Not everyone’s used to having a camera pointed at them. But once Christian dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him (spoiler alert: she said yes!), everything shifted. The nerves melted away, and we spent the rest of the afternoon wandering the gardens, laughing, exploring, and capturing the sweetest, most candid moments.

It wasn’t about perfect poses or stiff smiles. It was about real emotion, genuine connection, and the kind of joy that bubbles up when you’re newly engaged and wrapped in autumn light.

So if you’re dreaming up your own Forest Glade Gardens proposal, take this as your sign: do it. The colours, the setting, the quiet magic of that garden — it all comes together to create something really special.

And if you need someone to capture it all for you? You know where to find me.
